Do they use the exclusive, patented “Dead Air Space Technology” that has been specifically manufactured and engineered? No, because it is Ameri-Dry’s® patent. Most other basement waterproofing contractors use silted, corrugated or PVC plastic piping covered with gravel, which tends to calcify, clog, and restrict the flow of water.

Do they drill weep holes in every core of every block – including mortar joints? Ameri-Dry® does by paying attention to details like this. When weep holes are missed, water remains in the wall.

Will they seal your basement walls with an exclusive wall sealer? Ameri-Seal®. This is a non-permeable waterproofing material that is anti-toxic, anti-smoke, and anti-flame.

Did they leave open gaps between the floor and the walls? Ameri-Dry® DOES NOT. Gaps allow water, bugs, vermin, and odors to enter your home.

Does their system stop all eight ways water enters your basement? Ameri-Dry® does, providing permanently dry basement waterproofing solutions.

Be aware! Some basement waterproofing companies use the injection of exterior waterproofing substances, which is not a recommended treatment. The Better Business Bureau’s “The Original Basement Waterproofing Handbook” states (the problem resulting from this procedure is always the same – failure of the product to spread enough to do any real good.) The Handbook further states (so take care, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development states in its “Manual of Acceptable Practices” – for properties that must pass FHA inspection for loan guarantees “Pressure injected waterproofing has not demonstrated a satisfactory performance and is not acceptable under HUD standards. Failure of a house to pass FHA – or other financial inspections – can be a major problem). Ameri-Dry® DOES NOT use this method.

Do they quote prices from a printed price sheet? Ameri-Dry® quotes all prices from a printed price schedule — and will not charge what the traffic will bear.

Will they allow you to examine a customer list and select any name from that list for checking? Ameri-Dry® does. We also urge you to contact your local Better Business Bureau and local Home Improvement Commissions for a full report on Ameri-Dry® and our competitors.

Do they issue you a Full Life-of-the-Structure Warranty that meets Federal Trade Commission Guidelines as a FULL WARRANTY according to the Magnuson-Moss Act?
Ameri-Dry® Warranty does. Some companies offer a Limited Warranty; others even require an annual charge for renewal. Ameri-Dry® does not!

Do they tell you about their warranty? Ameri-Dry® not only tells you about the Full Warranty, we actually show you the real Warranty and leave a copy with you. Ameri-Dry ® warranties are registered locally, and with our National Headquarters to insure you receive uninterrupted coverage.
